Storks returned to Poland

The white stork is the most popular bird in Poland. Storks are migratory birds, and when winter is coming they fly away to Africa. But they always come back to inform the Polish spring and that winter has already ended.


Storks build a very strong and durable nests. Often you can see them in Poland on electric poles. Storks are back to their nests, to be joined in the same pair, rebuild the office and have offspring. These slots, whose age scientists estimate at 400 years old!



Storks in Poland is very deeply rooted in culture. Old beliefs state that the storks take the souls of the people of Paradise (Wyraj). Overall, the storks were considered to be the birds that bring happiness. Parents often say to children that have been brought by the stork.
